HIPAA Statement (State of Michigan)
 

Benevolent Home Health Care complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and all applicable Michigan state privacy laws. This means:

  • Patient health information (PHI) will only be used or disclosed for treatment, payment, or healthcare operations, unless the patient provides written authorization.

  • Patients in Michigan have the right to access, inspect, and request copies of their medical records, as well as request corrections when needed.

  • Information will not be shared with unauthorized individuals, employers, or outside organizations without proper consent or legal authority.

  • We follow both federal HIPAA rules and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)regulations to ensure your privacy is fully protected.
